C2 Stage III in Australia, now with UM code!

Latest Specs

C2 Stage III
Schrick 268/272
SRI
3.5" Exhaust
Eboost Street for boost control with RPM
Autometer RPM Adaptor for proper RPM signal (coil pick up)
Oil Cooler with Thermostat fitted in to HPA Side Mounted AIR Duct + OEM water/oil heat exchanger
Code by UM

Suspension - OEM
External - OEM
Internal - OEM

###########################################################
For those who want C2 kit and live in OZ, I can confirm - it can be done and works just fine :)

Kit is Stage III as you know it with thermal coating on hot side. I use electronic boost controller. Dyno was 4WD, they coulf not get good ignition coil read out, therefore speed not RPM.

Very nice, welcome to the turboclub. Lmk if you have any questions in the future, as i have been running FI for over a year now.
300whp seems a bit low on 14psi of boost for me? Or do i miss something in the graphs? And why did you remove the engine for the install?

Thanks mate. 300WHP is a bit low but unfortunatly without baseline run I do not know how stock read on this Dyno. It maybe just very conservative (8PSI run was 230WHP).
How does your AFR looks in comparison to mine?
I did not remove engine, only head and front subframe.

are you using red rtv as the exhaust mani gasket?
Got no idea what it is, mechanic used it. Todate still working just fine (2 -3 weeks of boosting now).

Sorry my fault, looked at the pic on a very dark screen, didnt see the head on the first look.
Im around 400whp on 14psi of boost, thats why 300whp is a bit low, but it can be the dyno as you say. My AFR reads around 10.5 to 11 on full throttle runs so your AFR seems good, a bit on the richside which is good to save engine.

Yeah, 300WHP seems a bit low for a boosted R32.
Good to see a different kit in Aus now!
How much was the whole F/I build mind me asking, you can Pm me if you'd like.
Mate, take cost of the kit from C2 and double it. Then adjust for exchange rate and keep in mind time of the car off road. Mine was in the works for 9 months (for various reasons).

Zevion was tellin me that this setup is about 400hp at the crank, so I imagine 300 to the wheels and it running a lil rich sounds about right. Nice job and have fun, very jealous. Love the badge, could hear this conversation in my head..."Dude you made your golf to look like a .:R32???"

So roughly 14K AUD?...
Hmmm... Seems a fair bit cheaper than the HPA kit.

I'm doing the cams & N/A route first... Once this gets boring I will look into something else, Like a faster car prehaps. Lol

In OZ we have very few R32. General public cannot tell the difference and go of the badge. Given my wife drive the car often, I do not want to draw to much attention. Keeps all the 'race kids' of my back to.

Where about are you mate? May catchup if you want to see it in flesh. Do you go to any MT Cotton skidpan events?
HPA is a bit like HPG, very nice but very expensive. I am not sure which one is better hardware/firmware wise, never been to any of those cars.
Once you decide on CAMs, let me know. Maybe we will form sort of a group buy :)

I'm in Brisbane... I have a set of 272/272 cams that should be here next week. I have done Headers/high flow cats/Milltek catback/ Vf intake power wise already. I am going to morgan park raceway this Sunday and for fun doing a test n tune at willowbank wednesday night with a few other VW's to get a guide before/after. I have not yet done a Mt cotton event yet, But will defenatly look into some in the future! :)

My goal is to get power at 240-250 AWHP and weight at around 1430KG's...

I think you are still way down on power. I am putting around 360 to the wheels with the FT425 from HPA.. I believe I am right in line with the Stage2 C2 kit, the Stage3 should be a bit more power.

That is easy to check, do you have VAGCOM? Do a 0-60 check say without LC and I do the same. You can easy see 50HP difference in power if any.
If you do so, we will have non-oficial C2 Stage 3 to HPA 425 comparo :)

Sadly no.. and the car is in Seattle and I am in Orange County. I know with LC I do 0-60 in around 4.2..

Stage 3 is 400hp from C2. But my question is, if the HPA kit you have on is running 425hp then 25% drivetrain loss is 106hp which would put you at 319hp. How did you get another 41hp?

Where have you found info that the mk5 R has a 25% driveline loss? Don't forget the car is not 4wd it is awd but front biased. I would be interested to know if anyone does have a true confirmed driveline loss for a mk5 R though.
