i'm 80% sure that i'm going to buy a c from oregon, (i live in CA). i need to know what the procedure is for smoging the c in CA? the c has 53,000 o.g miles. i need advice from people who bought their c out of state and smogged and registerd them here in CA. thanks for the help and hopefully i will be the new owner of this fine automobile.-thanks http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I purchased my G60 in Nevada and brought it into Ca. It's the same process as purchasing a vehicle in Calif, except the DMV will inspect the vehicle during the registartion process. The ONLY things they are looking for is a VIN that has been tampered with, and the CA compliant emission equipment label is under the hood (silver sticker on the plastic fan shroud cover). IF you happen to purchase a Corrado without this sticker, Find a fan shroud cover from a wrecker, or visit your local junkyard, and find a sticker off any new VW.

Go on the DMV's website or call the general information number and they'll tell you what you need to do. Keep me updated with this... good luck with the sell!
