Hey all, I am from Montana, and there we have several sets of cabins in the mountains that you can go to the local forest service and reserve them for the weekend for a small maintenance fee . . . It is a several mile hike and a ton of fun. I was looking for something like that in Here in Washington . . . Does it exist?
Thanks!

Re: Cabins / hiking in the woods question (buddylove)

How much of a "hiker" are you? It's a good idea to have some experience and maybe even some gear depending on when you do it(Ice axes, cramp-ons and rope). But it's one of my favorite places. You can camp in the lookout at the summit.
Three Fingers:
16 miles round trip
4000+ ft of elev. gain

or if you don't mind tenting it...
Bathtub Lakes:
Around 8 miles round trip
2500-3000ft of elev. gain

I'm not much of a cabin type guy, so im not too much help.
