I was wondering if a 2000 cabrio fender with the side blinker indicator fit the A3 jetta's? I want to add euro blinkers to my fenders and i though why not use a cabrio fender.

Re: Cabrio Fender (materrizzi)

It will if you do the hood, bumper, grille, headlights, rad support, etc.
.. Just the fender wont fit.
You could also use an early 94-95 Cabrio, or 94 Jetta GLX fender. They have the cutouts, but are hella expensive. OR even a Euro fender.

Yeah...what he said. Definately look into getting euro fenders. Try http://www.momentummotor.com or http://www.parts4vws.com . The only problem is that they all have the cut-outs for the fender mount antenna, but that can be filled fairly easily.

i might be missing something but why not just get the lights and cut your exsisting fenders to fit them? isnt that how its normally done? and wouldnt that be cheaper?

Because the fenders with the factory holes have them recessed, so they dont stick out. The lights sit flush with the metal.

It would be cheaper just to buy the fenders.
Re: Cabrio Fender (audiomaniac)

Would it look like ass if you put sidemarkers on NA fenders?

I don't think they look all that bad. I wanted the 96+ fenders but the dealerships discontinued importing them as replacement parts. I could've hunted more for them, but the body shop was ready to finish the car.
Sorry I don't have a better pic right now...

The Cabrio fender is not as long as the Golf/Jetta fender. Where it meets the rocker panel it is bout 2 inches shorter. The integrated side skirts of the Cabby is the reason.
Re: Cabrio Fender (materrizzi)

it would be cheaper to have them just have them stick out , looks like "poop". BUT when you get into an accident , a dodge drango side swiping your front fender, you could just purchase the new fenders with the indicators and it would look nicer. REASONING THERE? but i just deciede to get a new fender and have the antenna shaved. and i will have euros that stick out. thanks for the infor everyone
