Sky Cloud Car Land vehicle Tire

2nd Place: 2023 Cadillac Lyriq 450E

Pros

  • Elegant knockout styling
  • Plush ride
  • Spacious and comfortable cabin

Cons

  • Head-scratching infotainment
  • Build quality concerns
  • No Super Cruise yet
Verdict: An outstanding Cadillac, a good value, and a great EV, but one we'd feel better recommending for 2024.
1st Place: 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance

Pros

  • Intuitive infotainment
  • Fast charging
  • Fun to drive quickly

Cons

  • Disjointed design
  • Unimpressive range
  • Doesn't offer much utility
Verdict: A youthful, engaging EV that portends good things for Genesis electrics to come.
Basically, reads as "if we weren't testing the second Lyriq off the assembly line, ever, we would have ranked it #1".

Hmm. If I were MT I would’ve waited for the GV70 electric to make a comparison test between these two brands.

Saw a GV60 in the flesh recently. Really good looking SUV in white. Nice details all over.

Entertaining to watch Genesis going for everyone's throats with pricing lately. There are demanding to not be seen as the budget option anymore. This thing is like two segments smaller than the Cadillac starting at $70k! It's like a Q4 e-tron vs original e-tron sizing comparison

Watching Doug's video on the 2023 G90 calling out the price at starting higher than BMW 7 series and Lexus LS, and I recently drove a GV70 with a $66k MSRP.

Gang, the GV60 starts at $60k - they tested the top-trim performance model. Also, that $60k gets you 800V charging.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac's true base price is around $63k, and that might not include the mandatory $1500 OnStar "option." Plus, the GV60 has AWD compared to this Lyriq's RWD.

True but its hard to overlook the fact that the Caddy comes with a far larger battery and range.
