Has anyone tried to use the AEM bypass valve with the CAI on a VR6. Where would you cut the CAI to use it?

Re: CAI Air Bypass Valve (VarLordahl)

I dont have one now, but I had this on my old Eclipse. I just cut the intake in half and installed the Bypass valve right where the bend started to go down towards the ground. But you setup is prolly different than mine was.
I have seen some cars in magazines install the valve all the way up where th e intake goes into the throttle body(on civics, integras, eclipse, etc.), but I dont see how that would have enough time to work.
I suggest cutting about 1 foot and a half down from the engine. IMO.

Re: CAI Air Bypass Valve (RVs021.8T)

you can mount it anywhere along the intake plumbing, well, almost anywhere. Don't mount it too close to the filter. Remember the bypass valve is there to protect your motor from water entering through the throttle body. If you put the valve too close to the filter and they both get submerged you're screwed. I'd say definitely put it in the engine bay before the piping starts to go down to the bumper.

I have the bypass valve installed on my EVO CAI. I just replaced one of the blue connectors (sorry dont know its correct name). I have had it on my ride for about 3 months now...
