Might be getting a 268 TT cam and TT chip, should I get the vavle springs with this combo? Is it needed? Also how much would a new cam gear help in addition to the cam and chip? Thanks in advance.

It says on the TT website 96 and above require the HD springs. Best thing to do is ask TT on the phone. But I would venture a guess that you will have to.

I just got the TT chip, 268cam, gear, springs, and retainers. I would definatly say get the springs no matter what. It doesn't take that long to install and if you decide to do it later you would have to remove your cam anyway. I would say definatly get the gear. It doesn't give you more power, but you can definatly feel the difference at different settings.
