okay i plan on getting a neuspeed super charger for my 2.0. but while im at it i plan on getting a new cam, chip, and cam gear, i need recomendations on the cam, (i don't mind a slighty lumpy idle) and the cam gear. the chip, can i get a GIAC, or stick with a neuspeed chip. with these mods in mind, is there anything else that i would have to change in the engine valve springs, etc......
thanks

I think i read that a chip comes with the neuspeed supercharger kit..

You don't want more than a 260 cam with forced induction. The charger has it's own chip. Neuspeed recommends not using a cam gear, though others have. A cam gear only shifts the power curve up or down the rpm range--it doesn't add power.
With a mild cam, you don't need new springs unless you have a lot a miles on the car and just want to change them.

jetta red you said no more than a 260 cam, but can i run a cam that is exactly 260?
Re: cams, supercharger, chip,.....etc...... (vwgolfbk1)

I had the 256 in my engine before the charger. The 256 was specifically for the AEG engine, though other people used bigger ones, not without the CEL coming on. I never heard of any problem with the 260, though. If you have an older car, then you could use just about anything normally aspirated.
The 260 cam is usually designed for supercharger applications or turbo charging. You don't want to go more than 260 so you don't get blow-through, but 260 should be fine.

so the neuspeed SC and a 260 cam should work fine, and along with the p-chip. cool. my golf is DBW is that gonna be aproblem, or did neuspeed come out with the new SC for DBW
