Can a VR6 pass the sniffer with no CAT...

This is a VR6 with a hollowed out CAT..the car is in PERFECT running order...mainly because in the past year I have replaced the MAF, 02, CTS, Ait temp sensor and filters...this is in MA we have the new dyno type of sniffer test...

If they check for NO levels at anything but idle, you'll most likely fail.

I heard of a sneaky trick of running lots of drygas(alcohol) in the car when you bring it in for smog...just what I hear- not that I condone this act or practice it myself. Anyone else hear this?

Those dyno test is tough. Pretty sure you won't pass w/o a cat.

yeah I was told I could run the tank to almost empty then add some methanol with a lil gas just so it idles right and then go for it...after the test just fill it up with gas and replace the fuel filter.
