09 CC Sport 6spd.

I remember someone saying that in order to decompress the pistons on the caliper i need to do it through the ecu/vag com. Is this true? I really don't feel like taking my car to VW so they can charge me 300 for brake repair...

Thanks!

I recently replaced the front discs on my 2010 Sport. I suggest Zimmerman zinc coated discs, about $60 each. You need a long half-inch-drive breaker-bar, with a 4 foot pipe on it, to break-loose the caliper bracket mounting bolts (and to tighten them).

no VCDS = remove the electronic parking brake

VCDS plus battery charger is still the easiest

...the Philly area has plenty of indy VW/Audi shops

plus....Philly area is the home of Ross-Tech, makers of the VCDS (lansdale)

I have a 3 foot breaker bar, would that suffice?
