Can I put 15" wheels and low-profile tires w/out looking 4x4?

I've got 14"s on stock-sized tires now. My buddy has got a set of 15" wheels that used to be on his jetta, but they don't have tires on them. Can I get some low-profile tires for them and still have the car looking good? The car is stock height, and lowering it isn't going to happen for a while. But my 14" tires are dying and I need new tires anyway. So what tire size should I look for? Any pics?
