any VW 4 cylinder tranny will physically bolt on to any VW 4 cylinder motor. The nice thing is that the cranks all maintain the same bolt pattern for the flyhwheel.
ok nice because in my rabbit it has a brand new clutch that i would like to keep for the swap. though i heard something that i need a new pressure plate or something?
