can someone explain gear ratio's to me?
as in, what do the numbers actually mean? i've never really learned, i guess. and how does the final drive tie in? thanks!

The first number is how many times that gear has to turn to get the other gear to turn X many times. (I think) So 2:1 means that one gear has to turn twice to get the other to turn once (cause the first one is smaller). Am I right? Someone correct me if I'm not.
