could some give me or direct me to the codes for vag so i can disable my drl and set up my alarm for windows up etc thanks...

don't mean to dredge this up, but i had a question regarding the coding (i've searched extensively). i enabled "remote" window activation, now...how do i do it? is it like the alientech window hack on the mkiv? because in there, there was "power window close/open w/ door lock/power window switch/remote". so i only assume i can use my key remote to open them. is there a special sequence? TIA.

Are you asking about how you get the windows to go up and down, once you've enabled the remote function? If so, just hold down the lock button, and eventually, the windows will rise -- and vice versa with the unlock button.

do i have to have the sunroof on for this to work? i don't have one, i've enabled the remote function, but its not working.

i was messing around with my vag-com and my 05.5 pkg 1 jetta 2.5, and i found a way to raise the rev limiter!!!!
go under instruments [#17(i think)]
and select adaption
read block 35, it should say engine speed threshold at the top above the 4 display areas.
the display areas show N/A
change th stored value from 0-7 7 being the highest.
mine was set to 0 and i sued to get a lot of power loss a just above 5K rpm but since i changed it to 7 the car holds power to the redline.
i don't know what other cars are set at but i tried this on my friends 03 gti and it worked on his too. his was also set to 0

and please read my warning to NOT COPY CODES. Please understand how the long coding works. My codes may not be right for your car. They DO vary from car to car and some vary a LOT!

I just called the service manager at my VW dealership who said they would make all the ECU changes with VAG COM for free. Getting it done next Tuesday. This is good service!

maybe try selective unlocking using vag-com.
