I'm sure there are MANY shops listed in the FAQ that would be glad to help you.

While having a friend help you install stuff on your car is one thing, soliciting the help of a stranger to DO the work for you is another and takes away from many local VW tuner.

ya fair enough, but im sure dotdub expected to part with something like a 12pack or some money. The boost gauge install isnt that difficult, its just not something you want to attempt on your own if u have no idea how to do it. I think he posted the thread to see if someone would be willing help saving him the hassle of going to a shop worst case scenario he will go to a shop.

who's a stranger? this is the VW community here. Usually we like helping each other out. I certainly don't expect anything for free.

I completely understand and agree. Dont get me wrong, I do probably 90% of my own stuff, unless I just dont have time or tools. Im just saying, posting something like that on an open forum, things get taken out of context and the local shops pay big-time coin to advertise here in hopes of gaining business, are basically cut out, which usually leads to deleted threads. Just saying
