Yes, I agree - the side chrome on the black just breaks up the nice lines of the car too much. I went with black then covered the side chrome with some 3M black out film. I think it looks much better. I first threw on some black electrical tape just to see how it would look (and liked it!) Sorry I don't have a source for the black out film. I work at 3M and had connections. Possibly a customizing or body shop could help you.
I love the black color and have no regrets. Nothing beats a clean and shiny black car!
