Anyone have any information on this set up, 0-60 acceleration, etc., etc.
I am getting ready to do a trans and have been thinking about different ratios as I think the stock CCM ratios are to wide for an all motor VR6 on the track. Looking and digging around at all VW ratios I kept seeing this "CHA" trans code for VR6 Canadian O2A that has a 3.94 R&P (what I am switching to) but look at the gear ratios:
_________1st___2nd___3rd___4th___5th___R&P___Notes
CHA====3.778=2.118=1.360=0.917=0.717=3.944==VR6 Canada
CDM====3.300=1.944=1.308=1.034=0.838=3.647==VR6 Corrado NA
CCM====3.300=1.944=1.308=1.034=0.838=3.389==VR6 GTI/Jetta NA
First gear looks like it could get ugly as far as traction, but with the correct tires and launch it could controlled. 3rd to 4th is a little bit of a drop off but that could be swapped out to a closer ratio.
