So my place of employment basically said to me, move to Columbus or find a new job. Damn bastards. Nothing against Columbus, just that I'm an east coast person and need to be near an ocean.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone was out there from Columbus, what's the scene like, tuning shops, etc? Also, what else can people tell me bout the place... living costs, real estate, things to do, surrounding area, etc....
I'd really appreciate if anyone can fill me in on these things. The way things are looking, it may come down to me moving. If I do that, I'd like to know a little about where I'm going and I figure asking here is a good place to start.

Let me just say this... I live in Cleveland, and when it comes to VW, I'd RATHER be in Columbus. The OhioVW Scene is AMAZING in Columbus.. those guys are SERIOUS...
