Car names, Should it be a girls name?

So, i decided that i want to name my 1998 GTI VR6. just because im tired of calling it "The GTI". My sister refers to it as "the hoopty ride" because of its darkly tinted windows.. but i dont dig that name.
So, i have a good name picked out for it, but its a guys name. Fritz. I dont think of my car as a girl! more of as a friend that i like to hang out with.

im kinda confused, sure sure.. no flames please!
What about you guys, do you name your cars? if so, what? Im really leaning towards Fritz for my GTI

Yes, it should be a girls name. Mostly because you have to take a care of them quite a bit and they are very expensive.
Call her Greta, or Verushka.

Dude, if you really feel it necessary to name your ride, it has to be a girls name. All ships, planes, trains, cars etc. have always been refered to as "She". Plus your car takes all of your cash just like a chick. My advice: give it a stripper name.

well... here's how Rubie was named. I was simply asked if she had a name, I said "no, yeah, Rubie" Just kinda happened. How do you feel your car should be named? What type of personality does your car have that would fit in with a similar name? Fritz as it is now, would tell me that it's got problems... Rubie works for mine as it is similar to her orginal color...

yup, its gotta be a girls name. but that also brings up another interesting question: is a girl's car a boy or girl?

i agree...but if its a girls car they should name it a guys name, unless they wanna name it a girls name....but guys=girl for sure

I don't think it matters if it's a girls or a guys name. My wife's Passat is named "Otto." Her Jeep Cherokee was named "Ruben." Both names fit the vehicles. If your car is feminine, give it a womans name. If it's a good pal go with a guys name.
