My 2013 Golf 2.5l automatic started idling rough about 3 days ago. It got worse with each day until today it completely stalled when I started it up. It runs for about 2 seconds and then stalls.
I was fiddling around with it and decided to take off the oil cap, and when I turned it over it was running again... Mind you it wasn't idling smooth, but when I revved it, it sounded good no knocks or misfires. The only thing I did to it recently was add a quarter of a quart of oil because it was low.
The codes that are showing are:
I'm completely lost hoping someone can guide me in the right direction.
- Air intake and filter are good
- PCV valve is good no rips or clogs (was changed 4 months ago)
- Oil was changed around 1 month ago and levels are good
- Timing chain seems fine
