There was plenty of beef on that train.
There was plenty of beef on that train.Man...I would so pissed. If I'm gonna get hit by a train, it'd better be a little more beefy than that.
Former Maxima owner here! And that I35 miraculously had not become a hood-rich car with dubs, surprising considering it's a New Orleans vehicle.Yeah, lets weep for the dressed up Maxima that can be easily replaced by going down to any used car lot.
Arent mini trains actual, proper steam trains?
Yep :laugh:City Park?
I lived right by there
neither did whoever drove that carI didn't realize they were that powerful.
yea, your right, although i was imagining the little trains we have around here that do a nice 20mph.It could have been a fairly slow hit, i.e., the massive momentum in the train (with the engine, cars, and passengers) would have pushed the car several feet even @ 3mph, or so.
And, slowing down from 3mph to zero over 12 feet or so isn't exactly earth-shattering deceleration for the passengers.
http://blog.nola.com/interact/2011/10/head-scratcher_of_the_day_city.htmlWhere's the actual article for this horrific train crash?
I lol'd :beer:It would make a cool selling point when they try to sell the car.
"Safest car ever. T-boned by a train* and came away with only minor dents and scratches."
*Actual size of train may vary.
