OHIO — Front license plates on most Ohio vehicles will no longer be required as of Wednesday July 1, 2020
Lawmakers passed House Bill 62 in April 2019 which requires only one license plate be displayed on motor vehicles including passenger vehicles. The law will reportedly save Ohio about $1.5 million each year. Commercial tractors must have the license plate displayed on the front of the vehicle.
Ohio is the 20th state to eliminate front license plates.
