Ok, My Central locking system just cra**ed out. Doors will not lock using either remote or door switches. Alarm will not arm using remote or key (driver's or Hatch). Autolock will lock once car hits 10 mile +.
I know I have a bad micro-switch in the driver's door. It would not lock with the remote but would unlock. The rest of the doors function just fine. I'm just waiting for the part to come in.
Anybody had to check or remove the two fuses on the top of their relay panel? They're supposed to support the central locking/ theft system. I've already checked out fuses 37 and 38 on the fuse panel. They appear to be OK.
Do you really have to remove the lower dash trim to just access the relay panel?

I'm having the same problem with my 2002 Jetta Wagon driver door.
What part needs to be replaced? Is this something a 'handy' rookie can do?
Thanks.
