CF Hood UPDATE!!!

As of 9:00 AM PST time.
The hood has been dropped off and they will start making the mold on monday.
All things going to plan I will have the finish product on my car next saturday.
when the hood was taken off the guy said "you are going to lose alot of weight with the carbon fiber hood."
one other thing i saw the rear hatch and front bumper for TC klein's new m3 speedvision race car

We owe it all to him right now!
I can't wait to see how they all turn out. When talking to the guys that build them they were thinking that the hoods would be somewhere in the ball park of 11-18 lbs when finished!

hey crazy since the bottom of the hood is going to be fiberglass and not cf if i buy will i still be able to put it on my car with no hoodpins?? thanks,

no hood pins needed. the orginal holes for your latches will be there and the clasp will be there too

The people that order hoods from them after this buy is done, will be paying more for then the $585 delivered for the carbon fiber, and the $685 delivered for carbon kevlar, and you can see by the pricing quoted above

Are you CRAZY ??? My friend got his cf<civic> for under 600 bucks and delivered from california to philadelphia for under 100 bucks. What is up with the overpriced shipping cost????? carbon-fiber is super light and a hood is not a CAR!!!! I can get a whole car delivered from CA to PA for less than the 685.00....come on now..I guess your getting a free hood or two out of the deal!!![HR][/HR]

theres a little bit of a difference from a corrado hood and a civic hood. and well if your friend got a hood for just under 600 and the shipping was under 100 then its about the same price as these hoods if not a little more. it is 585 delivered to your door and you dont even have to use hood pins. it is 685 for carbon kevlar which is much stronger. deffinently recomended if you plan on shooting your car. anyways....................

LMAO, did you realize that 1/2 the population drives a HONDA? By this i meen that of course itll be cheaper for a Honda 'cause everybody got one.
They dont make a Corrado anymore dipsh1t, so not to many people are going to be down to by a CF hood.
I got an idea, spend $500 for a civic hood and put it on your Corrado!
Shipping is different to every zip code also!

ok rip on me..........READ WHAT I AM SAYING......I know it is hard to find the cf hood for the corrado and they have to be custom made...I understand the HOOD cost .... BUT THE SHIPPING SHOULD NOT COST ANYWHERE NEAR $600.

maybe I misunderstood are you saying 600 total with shipping ?? I thought that the thread said hood was around 800.00 and shipping was 685.00 so if it is 685.00 total count me in and accept my apology!!!!!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE CLEAR THIS UP I AM CONFUSED
