pull up the trim around the base of the shifter boot, it should pop up easily. Then pull the boot above the shifter knob, you will see a metal clamp that holds the knob on, cut it. now your old knob is off.
having just bought a new momo gear knob, thought i'd fit it in like 5mins. not to be.
can any one guide me as to how i remove the old first?????????,
what he said above.
You'll need to cut the shifter rod for a nicer look...or at least i had to.
The stock height with Momo knobs look funny bcuz it sits too high even at the lowest installation point. Also, u might want to get the boot adapter if u want to reuse the stock boot without it looking ugly. http://scrdesigns.com/products/shift_adapter.html
