I'm getting my bottom end back from the machine shop on Friday, and get to start plugging it back into the car this weekend between work and rainshowers...
I used my old block, which unfortunately ate a wrist pin to the tune of almost a half millimeter in the number four cylinder. I punched out the bore from 82.5mm (stock bore) to 83.5mm, and added J&E Forged alum. pistons and ARP rod bolts and head studs. The machine shop lightened the flywheel and stuck it on over a new clutch, and everthing is getting balanced... no vibes for me! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
To protect this significant investment, I bought a whole suite of VDO gauges and senders including oil pressure 0-150psi, oil temp (two gauges- one at the oil cooler (pre-head) and one in the drain plug, so I can see how hot it's actually getting as it passes through the head), and a voltmeter. I'm so happy this dubless saga is coming to an end (I've put 1500 miles on my car since march
) and I have been driving, uh, Hondas. Ouch. Just wanted to share my excitement with everybody, and I look forward to returning to dub driving.
This will be the first time I've installed an engine, by myself or otherwise, so If anybody has good advice feel free to kick in.

Re: Check Out My New Motor!! (Seattle16V)

Hell Yeah!! Good advice? read the bently, and find all the harness plugs on the motor, then number all of them on the harnesses with a marker on a duct tape tag or somthing. That way when it comes down to it, all you really have to do is Plug and PLAY!!! Best of luck to ya!!
