Need for Speed is coming back on November 8th and the first trailer doesn’t just make the game look like a blast, it features a whole host of great cars, including Audis, Lamborghinis, and Porsches.

Set in the fictional Palm City—which is in no way similar to any Floridian cities how dare you suggest that—Need for Speed Heat features all the cops, the modifying, the street racing, and the neon aesthetic we’ve come to expect from the series.

The game bills Palm City as a “brand-new open world where street racers have gathered to make their names known.”

The game will feature two racing series: The Speedhunters Showdown will run during the day, allowing you earn money and buy/customize cars; and at night there will be an underground racing series that allows you to win rep. This is when the fuzz comes in, having the ability to stop you and take your money.

The last title in the Need for Speed series was criticized—as have most EA games of late—for its use of microtransactions. In a press release, Riley Cooper, creative director at Ghost Games, the EA Studio in charge of NFS Heat, says the new game will lean into what fans want.

“We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known,” said Cooper. “Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fuelling everyone’s creativity with this new game.”
