I love the blue! How can this be done? It kinda looks like the high beam lens was painted transparent blue or something. I was thinking about putting blue "city light" bulbs in, but you would only be able to see it when the headlights are on.
Well, any ideas on how this guy did that?
Just be careful.. The majority of the blue bulbs are painted, not blue glass. Thus mine turned green because of the heat on the paint in less than two months.
That's why I put xenon white in the citylights instead after that.
Yup, just the bulb.
Get any deeply tinted less-light hyper-ion-plazma-xenon BS wanna-be HID bulb from the store and you can have that look.
Functioning high beams? Bah.
Buying a set of blue city lights also will turn that portion blue. This way, if pulled over, one cannot be fined for having blue high beams. These city lights can be found at almost any Pep Boys type place.
just the bulb, my friend has PIAA Xtreme White bulbs in his high beams, and they look just like that... another thing i noticed is that bulbs in smoked e-codes look bluer than in std US housings(we both have CoolBlues, and his look BLUE, mine look white)
I know it's not in the wright thread but i have 4 bulbs + 2 city (all blue) lights who do this very perfectly! (like the pic). Email-me if you are interest...
