Re: check out this huge window sticker (ghostrider)
Nope I just found a site with that sticker. But the car is nearly identical. Check the image URL for the original site...
I like the "fahrvergnugen... no charge"
I should scan and post mine sometime. Not as impressive, though. black car, black non-recaro interior, power nothing. I do have a sunroof, though, and I'm the second owner
You wanna know whats funny? That was a $16,000 car in 1992. My 1989 Honda Accord LX-i loaded came with a MSRP sticker of $17,890.00 in 1989! That includes the 'Honda Optional Equipment LED' Spoiler for $1100 and then Compact Disc Player for $800! Crazy huh?
Re: check out this huge window sticker (quazar311)
What is surprising is exactly how expensive these cars were. My car has exactly the same options as this one and is a 1990. Nearly $18k is pretty expensive. Maybe $19k in todays money? Maybe more? You can get a Ford Focus SVT for less than that today (oops I said it!), a 170hp, fairly light hot hatch.
Another surprise is how much these cars depreciated. Some people are selling 16vs for $2000. That's like 1989 Nissan Sentra level. Yet a GLI was waaay more expensive than a sentra at that time...
No wonder they weren't that popular...
