[Guelph VR6]

I just got a bunch of parts off a guy for my VR, One of the things is a Advanced Powerprom Chip for an OBD-II VR6 (which is what I have). My question is, is it safe to install or do I have to get it programmed for my car?

It depends on what ECU the chip was burned for. K, AA, so forth and so on. If the chip doesn't have any of that on there, and you can't determine what ECU you have, then don't start pullin' the brains out of your GTI.

I called AMS and they told me that the chip should work no problem.
