Hey guys, ok this is the deal: What experiences have you chipped dubbers had within Ontario VW dealers. Have they voided warranty on your ecu or gave you a hard time without giving you a chance to appeal, or the opposite; they were cool and enthused about your car's performance. I just want to get this settled once and for all b4 I proceded with this highly discussed mod. If anyone has had any expereinces with VW Richmond Hill, that would be great.
(BTW, sorry if this has been dicussed.....search thingy is whacky)

I've heard that VW Villa and Cedarbrae will not void your warranty if
they install the chip. But please verify this before hand, since I'm not
completely sure

These are the two dealerships that I have heard of as being chip-friendly too, however I have yet to go to either. My first service should be in a couple weeks.

Yeah, I'd say they're mod friendly but I would imagine that they would be a bit less so if they weren't the ones who actually did the modding for you. I had some warrantee work done at VW Villa today and the service manager is a stand up guy who knows his stuff and understands tnfs.

VW Villa sells Neuspeed chips and will not give you warranty issues if they
do the work. I recently heard they're going to be selling APR chips soon too.

I had my GTI chipped at Cedarbrae a few years ago. The only thing I was told that I would be voiding the ECU warranty, but nothing else...

had mine chipped around 15K now its at 45K and it had been through several oil changes at the dealer (hey its free

) and nooooo problems... and if you take a look at my car i think they know im chipped lol...
