Welcome to Vortex...
If you use the Search you will find hundreds of threads on chips. Also check out the 1.8T forum. There really are endless threads about people comparing chips. There are some people who'd be rude and say "STUPID NOOBIE JUST USE THE SEARCH STOP CLOGGING OUR FORUM WITH REPEAT TOPICS" but I go for the nicer approach.

Again, welcome. Enjoy the 20th AE. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Doritos! No just kidding.
In all seriousness, you first need to do your own research regarding chips. An excellent resource is the 1.8t Forum listed under Technical. Do some reading from there and become educated with the pros-cons of the different chips out there. Then you can ask specific questions once you have a basic understanding of the different technologies out there. Also, educate yourself with the vendors themselves. Here are a list of the big 3 for the 1.8t right now.
APR: http://www.goapr.com
GIAC: http://www.giacusa.com/
Revo: http://www.forgemotorsport.com/revo/index.asp
Don't jump on any one bandwagon just because someone says its the best. Do your research, educate yourself with the offerings, then make your decision. Its your car, and the only best is going to be the best one for you.

What has changed? ESP? I don't think there is anything else thats different (mechanically) from the 337's 1.8T and there are plenty of chips out for that application...
Re: Chips-What the best? (Androoos)

The code is vastly different than from even the 337's ECU..

Re: Chips-What the best? (zerind)

OK, didn't realize any differences. I stand corrected. Do you know any details?
Re: Chips-What the best? (Androoos)

Yes it different....Cant use a awp chip on it
Re: Chips-What the best? (Red_Ghost)

REVO and GIAC are the only companies that make them for our cars so far. Correct me if I'm wrong....
