Careful driving on I-5 this weekend though...gawd, cops used to be hella bad on Civil War weekend. I know sooo many people who've gotten tickets on CW weekend.

Looks like the BCS scenario for the Ducks would have them in the Fiesta Bowl in a rematch of last years Holiday Bowl playing against Texas. I don't think there is any chance the Ducks will get into the National Championship game.

Correct, Florida is still above them in the BCS undefeated. I think the Rose Bowl will pair Miami and Florida. Fiesta Bowl with Texas and Oregon (assuming they don't lose to the Beavers this weekend).

as an avid follow of college football, but neither a duck or beavers fan, i say the beavers will win. dont worry about the lousy record, the ducks are overrated and the beavers are gonna go all out to spoil. beavers are a good team when they can get it together.

Well, Duck's defense does tend to consistantly relax whenever the offense gets the team a little bit ahead on the scoreboard. They need to realize offense alone can never ever win football games. That's exactly why the Beaves had a disappointing season. Simonton can't do everything by himself.
It's true that the Beavers always get pumped up for the civil war game. However, so do the Ducks. It could go either way.
If the Duck defense play like they should have played all season long... I'm putting my money on the Ducks. Conference player of the year in the QB position... can't write them off that easy.
It should be a good game.

this day sucks for me. i live about 2 mins from the stadium so traffic and drunk fools are a bitch. but hey some pretty cool stuff usually goes down. not like back in the day when the gratefull dead was in town though.

Oh god. I remember that. Imagine thousands of "earth loving" and "peace loving" deadheads decending on a little town of 150k. Once they leave, there is nothing but trash. I'm talking about trash as far as the eye can see. So much for "save the environment" with their trash and their substandard smoke spewing vehicles.
Back then, I used to do training rides through Alton Baker on my road bike... the amount of trash they left after the concerts were over was sickening.
