Hello. I have been watching these forums for quite awhile and recently purchased a 2001 jetta. I am interested in the FK cup kit 35/40. I have done quite a bit of researching different sources, however, I have found mixed answers in the search. Some say it is too stiff, while others say it isn’t stiff enough. I am a college student and I will be traveling back and forth from school to home (about five hours) with a car packed pretty good with a lot of different things. Would this be a major problem for the cup kit?
Any extra help would really be appreciated. I am eager to clarify my sources.
Thanks for the help in advance. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: (wishihada18t)

okay that would be great... have you heard anything on how long this set usually lasts for? ive read that in a few years the shocks might need replacing? have you heard anything like that?

Re: clarifying FK cup kit (phatvw)

yes that was very helpful, however i am still a little unclear. I plan on getting the FK cup kit 35/40. Do you think it will be low enough that the drive axle will hit the sway-bar when riding over bumps? What do you think the best option would be? I want to make sure i do it right, so i wont have any problems later on. I couldnt imagine the drop being more than 2 inches. Do you think i will be fine with the stock OEM FSB? any help would really be helpful. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
