I'm looking for a relatively lightweight solution for adding a sub to the 97 bose system I have currently in my car
I'll be comming off the real speaker level outputs
I'm thinking class D for it small current draw
I'll be mounting a 10" sub in a custom fiberglass box on the drivers side behind the wheel well
band for the buck/ weight/ current draw are important to me
"bling" is not
please feel free to sujjest any subs too http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Class D ampo recomendations (VReihenmotor6)

You should be able to get an Alpine MRD-M300 for about $150 or cheaper on clearance/ebay (M301's just came out). They put out >300W RMS (mine was rated at 330), have a small footprint, and only weigh about 6 lbs. You can go cheaper, but $0.50/Watt isn't too bad.
Subs are pretty subjective, of course. I'd go listen to some
Just stay away from the really cheap stuff. Hope that helps...

Sorry, I thought ebay would be cheaper by now. A local electronics chain had them on closeout for $177. I guess that's pretty close to "at cost".
I'll second the e-designs recommendation. I've heard some good things on elemental designs--especially bang-for-the-buck--on some of the car audio forums. Check out forum.elitecaraudio.com. There's a few good reviews over there.
