Cleaning interior -- Whats best to use?

830 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Brit101
As title states, I am trying to clean up my interior due to clogged sunroof drains and general nastiness. I have the beige colored interior and was trying to figure the best way to clean the plastic interior trim. I already have oxy clean for my seats and carpet but dont know if it would really work as well on the plastic.
TIA

I dont have a really good answer for this, but I will tell you to stay away from any products like Armor all. Those types of products have oils in them that leach into the plastic. It will clean it really well 1-2 times, but you will slowly find that the dirt starts staining the plastic and cant be cleaned because of the oils.

Yeah. i decided to run with just dish soap and some good old fashioned elbow grease.. Ended up going OCD and scrubbing every little bit of the soft touch rubber crap finish of each piece of my trim. Looks brand new http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I've been using my steam cleaning Wagner for all of the plastic parts. Works awesome.

Check out the detailing forum here, or the one at Meguiars.com or Google "detailing forum" and you will not only find the answer to your question about the dash but cleaning and maintaining every area of your car.
Dish detergent is not the best for cleaning your dash, post a question why it is not at a detailing site and they will explain why.
