Hi, quick question. I have a 2012 Jetta GLI.
I got a CEL last month, had it scanned at a store and it came back P2015, so without further investigation, I ordered the intake manifold and finally got around to replacing it yesterday. I also cleaned the valves and replaced the injector seals as well.
It started up fine (once gas got back into the rail) and runs fine, however it still has the CEL.
I stopped at an AutoZone on the way home from work today and they scanned it for and it's still P2015. The scanner they used just downloads the codes from the car and then they have to plug it into a computer inside, so they couldn't clear it for me.
I looked and it appears that the cable to the flap position sensor is plugged in, but I couldn't reach it to check how well it is attached... I could remove the oil filter and check if I need to.
My question is: Do I need to get an OBDII scanner or VAG-COM USB cable to clear the code, or should it have gone away on its own? If it should have gone away away on its own and it hasn't, what else could it be?
Thanks,
-Matt
