Newbie Home mechanic here.
Since I've had the car jacked and not ready to start ( no oil ). I have some pre existing questions.
I just bled the clutch, from the slave cylinder bleeder valve and I'm not fully confident because it's a first time thing. How do you know it's done correctly? Symptoms went from; clutch stuck to the floor; to clutch no longer sticks to the floor and there is resistance about half way.
Second question. If a manual transmission vehicle has no oil. Is it common for the clutch/ transmission to have difficulties selecting gears ( new fly wheel, pressure plate and friction disk were installed) It feels very dry rough when I move the shift stick. Does the engine have to be running? It just feels rough and I had wondered if I need to change the entire gearbox.
Thank you,
Baxternelly
