Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could identify this strange noise for me.

when throttling from low revs (near stalling) this clicking noise comes up, i reproduced it just by stalling so you can hear it very clearly. I've noticed hearing this sound more often in town, and everytime I look where it comes from it's a volkswagen , so it must be something typical, anyone know if it's a lose part or something broken or just normal?

Some clutches will develop a rattle from the dampening springs on the disk if you beat on the clutch with hard shifts or take-offs from a stop. The only way to see if that is an issue is to pull the trans. If the springs are loose and you can spin them around, they probably contributed to the noise. Some models get improved versions of the disk as superceded replacement parts from the dealer. Usually the noise is something else like exhaust.
