Coilover question... Should I take the plunge?

815 Views 31 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  cramer
Ok as you guys know I have groundcontrols with fully adjustable KONI yellows. They are bad ass and trully handle great. My only dilema is I want to go lowwwwwer in the front. Here are my two questions... what are the best priced Height and Dampening adjustable coilovers out there? With my ride height I have to have the dampening plus I hate mushy suspension. Cageybee what are you running you are dumped and I am loving it. Could some people give me prices and someone make me an offer on my setup, I paid like 1000+ for the whole thing (got the receipts) someone make me an offer starting at 500 maybe? Been on the road for no more than 3 months.
Thanks
Kyle

Aren't you running a Mattig bumper??
I'm lowered on Neuspeed Sports springs w/Bilstein Sport Shocks/struts and i've scraped many times already!!!
Goin to a body shop tomorrow in fact to get a repair estimate....IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Thanks for the comp man, They are OZ F1 cups 17x7.5 I think. Awesome wheel, I really like them, they would look hella sick on a slamed red dub tuckin them with a little stretched Euro rubber

EDIT: I meant the I think for the width haha, YES everyone I know what kind of wheels I have

oh, i have avo coilovers with 16" bbs rx wheels, and 45 series dunlops.
the car is (was) probably as low as the lowest corrado could possible go. the car could still drop another 2 inches, which is weird, since the car couldn't have been 2 inches off the floor in the first place.
and just for good measure, the oil pan pix

now ask yourself again if you want to run that low. frankly, i was lucky that i only smashed the oil pan/pump, and i didn't do any stress to the block..

holy $hit, that is just messed up. how low is your corrado? i had about 2-3 inches off the groud and my oil pan is nowhere close to that.
Re: Coilover question... Should I take the plunge? (Rensselaer Corrado)

Yeah, dump your Kurrato, make it like 5 inch drop man. That rules.
So what if you have bump steer and no suspension travel.hey what you need suspension for?Damn engineers should have made cars without them.Cost alot less.

Re: Coilover question... Should I take the plunge? (CageyBee)

Cagey how much where yours? and where did you get them, also are they dampening adjustable?
Re: Coilover question... Should I take the plunge? (BlackieVR6)

Blackie, it looks like you painted yourself in the FK corner (sorry you guys must be sick of me endorsing FKs
). If you're looking for price, dampening adjustability and low as you can go....FKs baby...HR's aren't dampening adjustable, Bilstein PSS9s are but don't go looooowww, KW2s are damn expensive.... So i hope that clears it up for you.

well, the previous owner bought them, and he drove around like this. i'm the biatch who molested the oil pan. oddly enough, he drove around for the better part of 3 years without breaking anything, other than rubbing the driveshafts on the chassis to a beautiful polished colour. i believe he bought them from a shop in england, where AVO is based. i think i remember him mentioning it cost him something like 650 british pounds with shipping..
http://www.avouk.com/avoevolutionp1.htm product code for the corrado is gtz815
edit: forgot, to mention, yes they are dampening adjustable.

Ive heard people getting them for 800-900... for the KW2`s... thats not too bad if you ask me. I paid more for my GC. haha
Re: Coilover question... Should I take the plunge? (BlackieVR6)
