That's not a true Cold air intake- as the air is still being pulled within the engine compartment. The fitment shown is for the MK4 2.0.

I built one myself for about $20. Custom-fit a 4" 90^ aluminum heating duct elbow into the front of my airbox, routed 4" aluminum heating duct down to the lower bumper grille. Installed K&N panel filter. Overall, a very noticable increase in throttle response (and a nice sound too) for very little $$$. Gotta love Home Depot Motorsports

I did something similar... I pulled off the pipe connected to the MAF and used my dremel to cut the top off of the intake pipe in the base. Bought a $3 fresh air hose at autozone and connected it to the outside of the box and stuffed it behind the grill. Great improvement!!! I can actually hit 6000 rpm when I used to die around 5000. Later, I replaced my standard air filter with a k&n, no noticable difference after the chop job though. Sweet tone too, and only when I lay in to the pedal.
