Colored Interior Bulbs?

Where can I get some colored bulbs for my interior lights? Do most retail stores (AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc.) carry these? Or do I have to order on line?
Anybody else installed colored bulbs in their interior?

i had some cheap blue bulbs i bought from pep boys , burned out in aout 2 months. i wouldnt bother. i now have the eurolite xenon blue lights. they appear as blue but give off a bright white light with a tint of blue. they look real good at night cost me aout 12.00 for the 3 lights in the dome cluster. would try your loca speedshop or look on ebay

Do you know off hand what the bulb sizes are?
Re: Colored Interior Bulbs? (derrickm)

Just color the bulb the color u want...use a permanent magic marker...i used a "sharpie" marker. it turns out just as good. I mean, if you want some "white light" then get those xenon ones, but if u want a specific color like blue, red, orange, etc. then use a magic marker. try it...

Re: Colored Interior Bulbs? (bjettin)

I installed two amber Sylvania 194 NA bulbs (PepBoys, Auto Zone) into the outer locations of the map lights.
That way, there is enough light to read maps by without the glare to distract you while driving. Also, by leaving the center of the three bulbs alone there is enough light to search for things that roll under the seats.

Good idea...i think i see what that looks like...cuz right now, the red light is pretty dark....but then again i never read a map, so i guess i dont have to worry about that

The amber light looks real good at night too. I experimented a little before settling on the amber. I tried
Red-Clear-Red
Red-Red-Red
Blue-Clear-Blue
Blue-Blue-Blue
Amber-Clear-Amber
Amber-Clear-Amber was the best combo for me.

I used lighting gels, used to filter light in TV, Movies, Stage...

Check them out here

I like that idea....i tried the method of coloring the buld with a sharpie and I didn't like that too much.
I'll try your idea!!

Try Polarg Hyper Whites! They're really great and increase interior visibility x2. It looks like you have fluorescent lighting inside your ride!
Map lights are: Polarg M3's
Rear map lights: Porlarg M28's
Vanity lights: Polarg M28's
