The dif is OBD2 tool's do the job, ross-tech's are put together better, have status leds and customer support for the adaptor and software.

Can your program be run through any connectior? i.e. the obdtool cable and connector?

Some functions may work, but we don't support 3rd party hardware:

Only the newer ones. If you buy an older VAG-COM cable, make sure your laptop has a non-dumb serial port or else you are screwed. Andy, you can add the Dell L400 to that dumb port list. Do you guys do trade-ins/credits to "upgrade" to the non-dumb models?
