What's the difference between the Castrol Edge Professional OE in the gold container vs the Castrol Edge in the black container? Both have the same VW standards.

Hello -

The oil packaged in the black container was the old style package design, where the gold is the new style. Yes, both can be used in your car, but personally, I would only go with the gold at this point.
