Componet question...JL, MBQ, Focal...what?

I am about to buy a new set of components to replace my abused JL XR650CS's. I am thinking about getting a new set of these.I bought my current set used, and the guy had seemed to really screw them up. I liked the sound while they lasted, but I'm not going to rule out anything else. I can get a new set of these for about 250USD. What else should I consider in this price range? I'm gettnig these off of a dealer on the web, so that price isn't normal store bought retail. I haven't really looked into MB Quart or Focal, I have always assumed these are out of my range. Keep in mind I will be powering these with a 75x4 JL amp. 75x2 to the front splits, and 75x2 to either the old XR woofers in the rear, or a new set of coaxials. All MB's and Focals seem to require much more power. I also need to buy a new radio, to get the optimum performance out of everything. Right now I have a Pioneer D??-7200, with only two pre-amp outs. I need three, since I'm running the 4ch amp, and a sub amp. I have been looking at the high end Clarion 9675 I think? The one without internal amps. And the popular JVC mp3 player, which model name escapes me. What do you all think about speakers? I don't think I'll have a hard time deciding on my head unit. Thanks for the advice. Josh.

Focals don't sound anything like the Mbs. I think they sound vastly better but your experience may vary. You really need to hear them before you decide.
If you like the JLs, then you probably should stay with the MBs and/or Boston Acoustics.

If you want some REALLY great speakers.....and this is not my ad, I just saw it..

If these are in good shape, then I would snap these up in a heartbeat as they are known as some of the best seperates ever made. I would be wary of the price though since the lister had these listed @ $275 and no one bid on them..I would find out what his reserve is.
Now that I have totally confused you.....lol.

If you are looking for something between the Bostons and the Focals, take a look at Diamond Audio. If you are not looking to spend the money to buy Focals, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FOCALS, everything you listne to after that will be a disappointment.
