Compression test on 2.0

Doing a compression test on my 2.0 to see how the engine is to decide if i want to go f/i or just save and do a rebuild also. what numbers should i be looking at? whats good whats bad?

Well, if you were a dedicated Dubber and had your Bentley manual (it comes with a membership card and a decoder ring...)

ABA 2.0L new engine - 145-189 psi, wear limit 109 psi, max difference between cylinders 44 psi.
Mr. Bentley doesn't mention any of the parameters for a leak-down test, but that would also be a great indicator of how "tight" the engine is. If you're going f/i, it would be a good thing to know both.

maybe its a really strong motor or time for a new gauge

or the head's been shaved (for reasons other than performance... if you get my drift)

i guess thats something to think about. but i dont know. had the car since 65k miles, so i guess it could be possible.
