When you installed your smoked tails, you didn't tighten the bolts enough to create a tight seal between the taillights and the black rubber gasket.

could that really be the problem? will the condensation in there go away eventually? i tried to dry it out with a blow dryer but that doesn't help b/c the moisture is between two layers of the plastic that i can't get to

it will only go away if you are sure that more condensation is not occuring anymore. And depending on how much water is in there, it may take a very long time (also depending on how much night driving you do - heat from the bulb is what gets rid of the condensation..)

not much at all in there......i tried to make sure everything is sealed off, it looks pretty good i think...we'll find out when it rains i guess b/c i'm afraid to spray it with the hose

When I installed my Smoked tails, I would get some condensation in the housing. Not enough to be concerned though. It would always go away in a matter of hours.

there's not much there at all, the thing is it has been there for 2 days...
