Re: corrado bumpers on a mk2 (A2GTI_8V)

I had a friend who wanted to do that to his A2...
You'd need the following Corrado stuff:
- Rad support
- Headlights
- Fogs
- Turns
- Front Bumper
- Fenders
- Grill
- Rear Bumper
- Axles?
And that doesn't include paint|modifications|body shop labor...blah blah blah.
It was worth it for that guy, though!

in addition to what you listed i'm pretty sure that blue golf used a corrado hood, door skins, rear quarter panels and side skirts, definately a long and expensive project.

agreed, and i bet it didn't help the weight distribution of the car either.

Yeah...that was friggen beautiful.
There are mods you have to do to the bumper itself to get the setup to fit, and all I have to say is it would cost a lot of money to get it done, take an incredible amount of time, and if you didn't have an expert do it they'd probably fudge the whole thing up bad.

Too bad they don't have a picture of the rear bumper, that's what I really liked... not a fan of the huge turns unless it's a Corrado.
Can someone scan in the big pic from page 55?
That'd be sweet if you put the front on a Jetta... as far as originality goes http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
It'd be a lot of work to fit the back on a Jetta... I'd like to see an attempt to do this.

How about just the lights itself?, What would I need? The Rad support, grille, and headlight, right?
