Corrado carpet swap...anyone messed with this?

i currently have grey carpet (the only thing left to swap out from old interior) and i want to buy new black carpet. if anyone has done this already could you give me an idea of what to expect?

It's not tough, pull out everything (center console, seats, kick panels, under dashes) then its just a matter of seperating it from the insulation and unscrewing a few carpet hold downs. It will take you a while, figure at least a half day if you have never pulled you car apart before

I thought that the part I understood to be tough was buying the new carpet. I seem to recall that the dealer does not have this, and it is a semi-molded shape carpet....

I'm also trying to do this, grey to black. But I'm looking to buy used black carpet, looks easy enough, had to pull up pass. side to mop up coolant mess when core blew...
Did you paint your plastic trim pieces throughout the interior or find black pieces? Also what about your dash?

I have a 90 corrado parts car with black carpeting...not sure what kind of chape its in because I just got it and haven't pulled all of the junk out of it...if anyone is interested..I will go check it out..and clean it for ya

Is G60 and SLC carpet interchangeable?

From what I hear the Corrado carpet is a direct fit into a two door mk2 Golf. Sorry doesn't help answer your question but I thought I would pass along that info.

Should be, both cars have the same unibody A2 Chassis....

I HAVE DONE THE SWAP FROM GRY TO BLACK(THE WHOLE CAR). IT IS A LITTLE TIME CONSUMING (1) DAYS WORTH , AN HOUR IF YOU HAVE EVERYTHING APART ALREADY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS EMAIL ME
