I just ordered a set of Corrado steelies today for my GLi and would almost like to space them out a bit. They are 15x6 with an ET of 35. I had these on my '84 GTi and know that they sit in a little too far. I'm wondering what a good size would be, spacer wise, to use if I were to do this? Also, with spacers I'm presumming longer lugs are necessary?
Thanks!

Re: (pigbladder)

i've got 10 mm all around right now with my steelies.
i've got 11" front brakes and i believe the hubs are a bit wider to start with, cause i'm pretty happy with the front. but i find the rears could use another 10mm. but it may just be the G60 flares that need to be filled.
i think with stock flares and brakes 10 would be plenty. have you measured the space between the inside edge of your flares and the top of your tires? that would tell you how much space you have to play with.
and longer bolts are a must, and please make sure you get hubcentric spacers.
